Convicted Watergate conspirator James W. McCord says he will not ask President Gerald R. Ford for a pardon for his role in the break-in of the Democratic party headquarters. McCord, who is currently free on appeal, said the President's pardon of former President Richard M. Nixon is "very unwise and may well be illegal." McCord has not yet served any of his one-to-five-year prison term.
