Assistant Attorney General Richard W. McLaren, the Nixon administration's antitrust chief, tells a news conference today in Los Angeles that the government got "all the relief that was prayed for" in the out-of-court settlement of its antitrust suit accusing big automakers of conspiring to delay installation of antipollution devices. He invited congressional critics to analyze the consent decree and see if it is a sellout.
