Edward LaForce, the inventor of an engine he claims is more efficient that any used by the auto industry, said Saturday the Internal Revenue Service closed his workshop Friday because he failed to pay withholding taxes for his employees. LaForce said the workshop was closed because he allegedly owes $35,298 in taxes for 30 employees at the workshop. This is a 1974 photo.
