Steel helmeted British troops wearing riot garb carry clubs at the ready Saturday as they march toward crowd gathered at Guildhall Square in Londonderry. The troops were called out after a series of violent clashes between Protestants and Catholics erupted for the first time since barriers were taken down two months ago.
