U. Alexis Johnson, Ambassador to Czechoslovakia, pauses at Idlewild airport after his arrival by air from Europe en route to Washington conferences on his forthcoming assignment at Geneva. Johnson will represent the U.S. in discussions with a Communist China envoy dealing with the release of civilian and military prisoners now in Red China hands and other matters.
