Dr. Tom Jenkins, 37, explains why he took a $10,000 a year cut in pay to become the highest ranking African American in Georgia State government in Atlanta today. Jenkins, who left an administrative post with Georgia State University to join the State Board of Pardons and Paroles at $22,000 per year was sworn in Monday.
