South Vietnam's newly arrived Ambassador to the U.S., Tran Thien Khiem, above, told of North Vietnam having sent 30,000 to 40,000 infiltrators into his country in an exclusive interview with Associated Press writer Spencer Davis. Khiem, 39, a Lieutenant General who has served as Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defense of his country's armed forces was one of the triumvirate that ruled South Vietnam last summer.
