Dr. John A. Hannah, Director of the Agency for International Development, tells newsmen in Washington today of a scientific breakthrough that could wipe out vampire bats which have been plaguing livestock in the southwestern United States and Latin America. It uses the drug dithacinone which prevents the blood the bats drink from coagulating.
