Pvt. Robert J. Hinkle, 21, covered by his coat, is held tightly by his mother after he was permitted to return home this weekend. Hinkle's father, Robert R. Hinkle, is trying to keep his son out of the Army, contending that he is mentally retarded. Hinkle, who has already completed basic training is stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, and is scheduled to return there from his father's Oregon farm Monday to undergo tests. (Story on Page 7).
