Alameda County Superior Court Judge Redmond Staats, Jr., knocked from his court room chair Friday by George D. Gibbon, 19, said "this is one of the hazards of being a jurist in these most troubled times." At left the Judge rubs the egg-sized lump on the back of his head which Gibbon, right, of Berkeley inflicted before bailiffs could separate the two. Gibbon was being sentenced for assaulting a police officer when he attacked the judge.
