1966 Press Photo Enrique Gonzalez, only known survivor of boat accident in Miami

Enrique Gonzalez, 32, the only known survivor of a 23-foot boat that sank southeast of Miami, with 46 persons aboard, rests on a stretcher after being brought to Miami by Coast Guard helicopter. Gonzalez and one other unidentified person, who later died, was picked up by the British Freighter Nicholas Bowater after four days drifting on a raft. Eight other persons on the raft either died or was washed overboard.
