1963 Press Photo Father Abel Garreau points to Viet Cong shelling damage

Father Abel Garreau, Swiss priest who heads the Catholic Leper Colony at Ben San, South Vietnam, points to hole in wall of his chapel that he said was caused by Communist Viet Cong shell fire February 13 last. The colony, established four years ago, is a favorite target of Viet Cong guerrillas. Father Garreau said: "The Viet Cong visit us every few months. They'll probably be back again soon."
