Here's a general view on opening of Geneva conference with Big Four Foreign Ministers and their aides at large round table. West German delegates are at diagonal table at left, with East German group at diagonal table at right. Interpreters are in immediate foreground. Secretary of State Herter is in front row, center, of U.S. delegation at left side of round table, next to the French group headed by Maurice Couve de Murville. The British group at upper right of round table has Selwn Lloyd, today's chairman, in front center, with U.N. Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold at left of Lloyd. Soviet group is at right, with Andrei Gromyko in front center.
