Description
This highway along the eastern Pacific coast of Central Taiwan is one of the most exciting in the world with more than 50 miles of its roadbed etched into the sides of steep cliffs. When the Japanese constructed the highway, they used naval guns to blast its foundation into solid granite rocks.
