Japanese Socialist Party members raise arms as they celebrate at party headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, today. Second from right is Sabure Eda, secretary-general and acting chairman of the Socialist Party. On the wall in background hangs portrait of former Chairman Inejire Asanuma who was assassinated last month. The Socialist were celebrating over electing the great majority of their 186 candidates.
