White House, May 8 - Spaceman on parade - Alan B. Shepard Jr., the nation's first spaceman, and his wife sit in car as they left the White House for the Capitol in Washington today after Shepard was presented the NASA Distinguished Service Medal by President Kennedy. In car with the Shepards is Vice President Johnson.
