Marlene Sanders, ABC News Vice President and Director of Television Documentaries, has written and produced a number of acclaimed documentary specials in the Emmy Award-winning "ABC News Closeup" series. "Her "Closeup" reports include "Women's Health: A Question of Survival," and "Lawyers: Guilty as Charges?" Ms. Sanders joined ABC News as a radio and television correspondent in 1964. The same year she became the first woman to anchor a network evening newscast for ABC News, working as a substitute.
