Veteran actor Walter Brennan, who won three Academy Awards, died Saturday night in Oxnard, California, after a long batter with emphysema. He was 80. Brennan gained fame in recent years for his role as the crusty but warm-hearted Grandpa Amos McCoy on the television show "The Real McCoys." This is a 1970 file picture)
