Representatives of the city administration and the Sewerage & Water Board told a United States Senate subcommittee today in New Orleans that additional federal funds are needed to help combat pollution of the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain. The Senate Subcommittee on Air and Water Pollution, a branch of the Senate Committee on Public Works, began the third of a series of hearings on national pollution problems in the new Federal building on Loyola Avenue.
