Governor Carl E. Sanders of Georgia said here today there is every reason to believe Lester Maddox will be elected the next governor of his state by the General Assembly. Sanders, in New Orleans for a court hearing on a freight rate case, said he would not interfere in any way with today's U.S. Supreme Court decision ruling that the Georgia state Legislature should choose between Maddox and Republican candidate Howard H. (Bo) Callaway.
