The president-elect of the Louisiana Heart Association termed digitalis "one of the most valuable drugs in today's cardiology." Dr. William Luikart of Baton Rouge said digitalis which strengthens the heart-beat, is used in congestive heart failure and in cases of irregular heart action. Participants in Wednesday's session of the Nursing Workshop of Intensive Care Units chat between talks at the Louisiana State University Medical School.
