A remarkably simple surgical technique has recently been perfected which appears to hold the answer to an ailment that once took the sight of victims within 24 hours. The innovation was described in New Orleans today by Dr. Joseph S. Hass, associate professor of ophthalmology at the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Joseph S. Hass, left, University of Illinois Medical School faculty member, exchanges ideas with Dr. C.L.M. Samson, New Orleans physician helping to host the 15th annual session of the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology at the Roosevelt Hotel.
