Unveiling a monument to Private Alvin J. Pradat, who died in Korean war fighting, are (from left) Mayor Victor H. Schiro; Mrs. Thomas A. Pradat, mother of Private Pradat; Vincent Lamia Jr., president of the Plum Orchard Boosters Club, and Mrs. Grace Ulmer, president of the Plum Orchard Civic Club. The ceremony was part of the dedication of the new Alvin J. Pradat playground bounded by Dreux, Tulip, Camellia and Prentiss streets.
