Guiding activities at the 68th annual convention of the Louisiana Teachers Association, which opened business sessions today at Eleanor McMain Junior High School, are James W. Morris of Baton Rouge, Louisiana Teachers Association president, and Mrs. Mildred G. Muirhead of Lake Providence, Louisiana Teachers Association vice-president and the only nominee to succeed Morris. Mrs. Muirhead will take over the reins Wednesday. State Teachers Tackle Issues At Meeting Here. Approximately 6000 Louisiana teachers buckled down to major problems facing their profession today as a business session of the 68th annual convention of the Louisiana Teachers Association got under way in New Orleans.
