Receiving certificates of appreciation from Mrs. Ena Wrenn, national president of the Navy Mothers Club of America, is retiring Rear Admiral Charles H. Lyman, commandant of the Eight Naval District. The certificates were presented in ceremonies at the Algiers Naval Station Monday. The first certificate was for Admiral Lyman's "exemplary conduct as a naval officer" and the second for the officers and men of the Naval Station for their assistance in aiding refugees in the aftermath of Hurricane Betsy.

Photo is dated 1965.
