Description
M.J. McLaney with his fellow New Orleans Athletic Club Golfers. The wife of the owner of a cottage on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain where a large quantity of explosives and war materials were seized said Thursday that the house was joined to a newly-arrived Cuban refugee three weeks ago. Mrs. William Julius McLaney, 4213 Encampment, said that neither she nor her husband, who operated a race horse feed business, had knowledge that the munitions were stored at the house near Lacombe until agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation questioned her husband Wednesday before making the seizure.

Photo is dated 1963.
