$75,000 Home of New Merchants Bank in Avondale. Jefferson Parish Council President Thomas F. Donelon cut a ribbon of $1 bills today to formally open the Avondale branch of the Merchants Trust and Savings Bank at No. 98 Highway 90. This is the second branch of the Kenner bank, with the other at 1800 Veterans highway.
