Memorial Day services were held Sunday but the New Orleans Chapter of the Women's Army Corps Veterans Association. They placed a wreath at the Military Women's Memorial monument at Elks place and Cleveland. Taking part in the ceremony were (front, from left), the Reverend J.C. Pickett, chaplain of the VA Hospital here, chapter president Mrs. Rita D. Fraley who placed the wreath, and Captain Arthur Marullo, who blew "Taps." those in rear (from left) are Mrs. Thelma Reisinger, American flag bearer, and Mrs. Anna Bozzelle, banner bearer. C of C Chief Talks at Memorial Services. Freedom can disappear quietly, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of the New Orleans Area warned Sunday night.
