Dr. Sydney Jacobs (right), New Orleans physician, accepts the gavel as president of the National Tuberculosis Association from Dr. Albert W. Dent, president of Dillard University. It is the first time in the history of the national association that two successive presidents have been named from the same city; in this case, New Orleans.
