1973 Press Photo Czechoslovak President, Communist Party Chief - noo33303

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Big grins from Czechoslovak President Ludvik Syoboda (left) and Communist Party Chief Gustav Husak are a marked contrast to their relationship five years ago, when the Soviet Union installed Husak to crush Czechoslovakia's brief liberal rebellion. Svoboda, who just won re-election to a second five year term, is the only personality of that regime still in office.

Photo is dated 1973.

Photo measures 7 x 9.25 inches.
