1962 Press Photo Housing Authority Officials planning for Guste Homes residents

Working to develop a sound plan for balanced services and programs at Guste Homes, which will house nearly 1000 elderly tenants in a 12-story high rise building, were national and regional experts in housing for the aged. At the day long meeting Monday (from left), C.M. Lambright of Dallas, regional representative on aging for the department of health, education and welfare; Miss Emily Dalrymple of Fort Worth, community services officer of the Public Housing Administration regional office; Dr. Marvin J. Taves of Washington, D.C., chief of field services on aging for the department of health, education and welfare; and Thomas P. Godchaux, chairman of the special committee, conferred with representatives of social welfare agencies and the New Orleans Housing Authority.
