Hughes (left), president of the New Orleans Garden Society receives a check for $840 raised in connection with a trip sponsored by the society to the 45th annual international flower show in New York March 10. Mrs. Donald Graves, chairman and organizer of the trip, makes a presentation at society headquarters, 3914 Prytania. The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the society's new auditorium.
