Description
Famed Soprano Nervous About 'Carmen' Tag - Ann Howard, a tall soprano who has won international acclaim, is a little nervous about being called "a Carmen for our time." She won that accolade for her portrayal of Carmen last year in the Sadler's Wells presentation in London. Miss Howard has come to New Orleans to join a singer of equal stature, Placido Domingo, in the New Orleans Opera presentation of "Carmen" to be presented Friday evening and Sunday afternoon at Municipal Auditorium.

Photo is dated 1971.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
