Miss Judy Hill. The 1965 Maid of Cotton, Miss Judy Hill, arrived in New Orleans on the coldest February 25 in the city's recorded history with 25 suitcases full of clothes - all made of cotton. But Miss Hill explained that she was warm enough because of her unusual coat. Made of a cotton product called "aerpel" it has the appearance of black leather, a warm cotton lining and is washable.

Photo is dated 1965.
