Commander ordered to new post Commander M.F. Garield, USCG, Chief Personnel, Eighth Coast Guard District since February, 1947 has been ordered to San Francisco, California for duty there as Chief Law Enforcement Officer, Twelfth Coast Guard District. Commander Garfield will leave New Orleans Tuesday (May 1) and will assume his new post about 1 June. He is being relieved here by Lieutenant Commander C.G. Winstead, USCG, former Director Eighth Coast Guard District Auxiliary.
