Installed as presidents of the Optimist Club and the Opti-Mrs. Club of New Orleans East Incorporated were James J. Gallagher Jr. and Mrs. Jo Anna Yager. The installation of officers was conducted at an awards banquet held at Bayou Barriere Golf Club in Belle Chasse.
