1977 Press Photo Bass fishing in the bayous of Louisiana - noo19384

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
For bass nothing can take the chill off the late fall air quicker than a string of Louisiana bass like this one. Most of southeastern Louisiana's rivers, bayous, canals and ponds come alive during the late winter, but that's usually preceded by a late fall explosion of action. Spinners, plastic worms, or topwaters worked in the early morning ground fog can produce bumper strings of bass. Combined with the unequaled October weather, it's an outdoor combination hard to beat.

Photo is dated 1977.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
