Miss Virginia Fletcher, a graduate student at Tulane university, was the winner of the annual essay contest sponsored by L'Athenee Louisiannais. Miss Fletcher, of Washington, DC, received a cash award and medal for her essay which dealt with the works of Nobel prize winner Albert Camus and was written in French.

Photo is dated 1959.
