Description
Brigadier-General Walter H. Frank, recently transferred from Honolulu to New Orleans to command the newly created 21st heavy bombardment wing of the United States Army Air Corps, arrived in New Orleans Sunday and after a hurried inspection of his new command, left today for Washington to attend a conference of army air generals on Wednesday. "The 21st bombardment wing," General Frank said today, "will not be a training unit as some persons seem to believe, but a well-trained fighting unit ready for war. Its personnel will be fully-trained when they are sent here and they will be assigned to the very latest equipment." The wing will be composed of more than 40 of the Army's new flying fortresses.
