Description
John D. Ewing, publisher of the Shreveport "Times" and the Monroe "News Star World" was one of the guests aboard the Yankee Clipper on her first passenger hop across the Atlantic. He went to England and France and was back home in seven days. While there, he had a chance to study conditions somewhat. "If Hitler so much as lifts a little finger, the people of France and England will demand war," Mr. Ewing said. He saw a number of bombproof shelters there.
