She will compete with nurses selected from other hospitals for the title of "Miss New Orleans General Duty Nurse of the Year. Miss Duplantis is a 1962 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Whitney A. Duplantis of New Orleans.
