1970 Press Photo Volunteers delivering supplies to DeLisle, Mississippi

Description
Members of the Second Alarmers volunteer organization of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, deliver school supplies and other articles donated by citizens of Jenkintown to residents of DeLisle, Mississippi. The group drove a truck thirty-two straight hours to reach its destination. the volunteers worked in the DeLisle area immediately after hurricane Camille and "adopted" the rural village for further help until it recovers.
