Description
Workmen use a Caterpillar equipped with a roller to lift the rails and pull the spikes. The Covington-Hammond area is losing another of its ties with history. Yesterday it was the old sawmills and box factories, turpentine plants and tung oil plantations, gone now and almost forgotten.
