Three top medical officers, who assembled recently in the officers of the Louisiana Division of the American Cancer Society, has lauded the campaign presently being carried on by the division to alert people to the importance of early detection of colon-rectal cancer. From the left are Lieutenant Commander Melvin Bourgeois, clinical medical director of the Eighth Naval District; Colonel R. W. Irwin, commanding officer of Fort Polk, and Lieutenant Commander G. V. van der Vlught, district medical director of the Eighth Coast Guard District.
