1969 Press Photo Mrs. Anthony Vicari works on bead tree with Ralph Peperone

Description
Mrs. Anthony Vicari works with her star pupil Ralph Peperone, 12, on a bead tree. Mardi Gras comes but once a year for most of us, but Mrs. Anthony Vicari of 5104 Fourth, is constantly reminded of that carefree time of the year. Unlike most of us who hide our Mardi Gras treasures in a secluded corner of the attic, so that our children will see what a "real" Mardi Gras was like, Mrs. Vicari uses her beads to beautify her home during the different holidays of the year. "One day I was in a store and saw a plain plastic cone shaped like a Christmas tree," recalls Mrs. Vicari, "I had been cleaning house the day before and came across a box of old Mardi Gras beads. When I saw the cone, it gave me an idea."

Photo is dated 1969.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
