Niemeyer, 31, who was awaiting arraignment in Federal District Court. - A federal prisoner awaiting arraignment Wednesday in Federal District Court on a charge of attempting to hijack an airliner jumped from a window of the U.S. marshal's office on the third floor of the Wild Life and Fisheries Building and broke his left leg. The prisoner was Terrance J. Niemeyer, 31, who squeezed through a small opening in the prisoners' detention cell and then pried open two bars on a window so he could leap from the opening. He jumped from 11:30 am.
