Description
The 1961 cotton crop in the 18 states of the cotton belt was termed "average" Sunday by the president of the National Cotton Council of America. J. Clyde Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona, said that it was "not an optimum" production year due to weather conditions in many of the cotton-growing states.
