New Orleans' artist Jean Seidenberg's statue of St. Richard of Chichester, parish patron, greets entering worshipers. Open-form, free standing gate tower has bells, visible to toll joy of various church feast days and Richard statue at far right greets those about to enter church, who've just passed under bell tower. Richard, Patron Saint, Bishop of Chichester, England, who among other accomplished and renown as preacher to crusades in London-1252 and 1253 by Royal appointment. Patron Saint of Church by New Orleans architect Jean Seidenberg.
