Description
Chris Moe - How do you play a bazooka? Where can you get a copy of the Storyville Blue Book? What is the difference between a rag and a stomp? Who was Bix Beiderbecke? Where can you buy a recording of "Moans and Blues" by Lizzie Miles or "Yes, Virginia, There Was a Third Manassas"? If you don't know the answers to any or all of the above questions, then you ought to make a trek to the New Orleans history told by way of fascinating displays on the development of jazz; good listening via a vast library of tapes; and further information if you ask it, given by a friendly and well-informed staff. "Jazz (and indeed the Jazz Museum) is one of New Orleans' greatest assets, yet few Orleanians seem to realize it," laments Chris Moe, of the museum staff.

Photo is dated 1972.

Photo measures 9.75 x 8.25 inches.
