Description
Extending 90 feet into the air to rescue two trapped workmen Saturday afternoon is a ladder from a New Orleans Fire Department truck at the intersection of the Industrial Canal overpass and France Road. The two workmen, who had been painting the inside of the overpass with red lead, lost their footing when an electrical wire on the bridge sparked. They were stranded for 45 minutes, one caught on a girder, the other in the cheesecloth. Neither was injured seriously.

Photo is dated 1965.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
